What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file saved in your browser when you visit a site. It keeps a session alive, remembers preferences and measures use.

Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, and this policy covers those too.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary: the session cookie and security cookies. They keep you signed in to the panel and verify form submissions, and cannot be switched off.

On a storefront the basket cookie is strictly necessary too: it is what keeps a basket across pages and ties an order to the right buyer.

Preference: remembers settings such as language and currency. With them off the site still works, but your choices reset on every visit.

Measurement: collects aggregated, anonymised statistics about how pages are used. The sales site currently sets no measurement cookie at all.

Third party cookies

At the subscription payment, and at a storefront's own payment step, the payment provider may set its own security and fraud prevention cookies.

The edge network provider may set short lived technical cookies for bot protection.

This page does not replace those third parties' own policies, and a business publishing a storefront answers for its own cookie notice to its own visitors.

Managing them in your browser

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. With the strictly necessary ones blocked, signing in to the panel is not possible and a storefront cannot hold a basket.

When the list of cookies on this page changes, the page is republished with a new version number and date.
